Press Release – Adam D’Arcy-Wykes – Head of Design Organisation

ATL Europe is pleased to announce Adam D’Arcy-Wykes as our new Head of Design Organisation.

Taking over from Ray Faulkner, who will still be supporting us as Head of Airworthiness, Adam is utilising his wealth of experience to direct the company under new ownership as part of the KDC Group – focusing on a customer-first approach.

Adam has participated in and led some very high performing engineering teams in his 30 years in the aviation industry. He believes in a team ethos of encouraging development and building strong teams to provide high-quality products for our customers.

His career over those years spreads across a wide range of roles, starting in the Royal Navy, Fleet Air Arm, working in maintenance, modifications and specialising in structural repairs to UK MoD helicopters.

Leading onto offshore Helicopters, European Police and Military helicopters in EASA Part 145, Part 21G and Part 21J organisations and back to the UK, where Adam worked as a Compliance Verification Engineer in a UKCAA Part 21J Design Organisation, verifying design changes to civilian fixed-wing aircraft, specialising in Mission Systems.

Adam writes…

“I was aware of the heritage of ATL as being one of the pioneers in UK aviation since 1947. I joined ATL Europe after the acquisition by KDC Projects. I have had previous experience of working with KDC Projects as a supplier and have always been impressed by the engineering skill sets that KDC have to offer. It seemed like an exciting opportunity to be at the beginning of this new journey with ATL Europe, where a very capable ATL Europe DOA team can be enhanced by the engineering specialisms of KDC seamlessly on the same site, allowing for fast scaling for larger projects.”

With Adam at the helm and under new ownership, we look forward to providing a customer-centric certification and approvals service in the fast-changing world of commercial aerospace.
